FarmsReach is wholly based on partnerships and collaboration with organizations, businesses, institutions and individuals who also work to help regional farmers become more successful and environmentally sustainable.

Technical Assistance & Advocacy

ATTRA, National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT)  Provides high-value information and technical assistance to farmers, ranchers, and others involved in agriculture through a variety of publications, webinars, a hotline, and instructional videos.
Community Alliance for Family Farmers (CAFF)  Offers a range of programs, policy, and initiatives focused on natural resource conservation, farm-to-school, local food marketing, food safety, and farm worker rights.
California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF)  Trade association, certification services and foundation that works to expand the organic marketplace, offers organic certification programs, and supports farms transitioning to organic.
California FarmLink  Provides farmers with the tools they need to lease and purchase land, access capital, and improve business and financial management skills.
The Center for Land Based Learning  Creates the next generation of farmers in their 6-month Farm Academy program and many youth programs focused on the environment and water resources, with hands-on experience and a robust classroom curriculum.
CA Grange  A grassroots organization that supports and advocates for healthy communities, family farms, local economies, cultural diversity, public schools and education, the arts, and a variety of charitable causes.
Davis Food Co-op  A full-service grocery store owned and operated by over 10,000 local households, offering natural, organic and locally-produced foods, education and outreach programs, a teaching kitchen and more.
Food & Water Watch  Advocates for common sense policies that will result in healthy, safe food and access to safe and affordable drinking water.
Marin Organic  Fosters relationships between organic producers, consumers and restaurants, with programs focused on K-12 farm education and farm gleaning.
North Coast Opportunities  A nonprofit program comprised of the Gardens Project and Farm2Fork, which work to build local, healthy food systems and assist low-income families.
Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI)  Provides organic certifiers, growers, manufacturers, and suppliers an independent review of products intended for use in certified organic production, handling, and processing.
Organic Seed Alliance  Through advocacy, collaborative education, advisory services, and research, OSA works to restore and develop organic seed varieties, while safeguarding invaluable genetic resources for future generations.
The Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG)  Provides planning and funding for the study and resolution of regional issues, such as agricultural land use, growth of farmers markets, and food distribution systems in the six-county Sacramento Region.
San Benito Working Landscapes Group (SBWLG)  An active network of CA ranchers that share information and collaborate to protect and enhance working ranches in San Benito County.
Sustainable Conservation  Works with private-sector leaders, scientists, academics, government agencies, and other nonprofits to develop and expand projects protecting CA’s air, water and wildlife.
University of California Cooperative Extension  Promotes solutions to the many problems farmers face by acting as the bridge between local agriculture and the power of UC Research.
UC Sustainable Agriculture Research & Education Program (SAREP)  A state-wide program that utilizes grants, research, and on-farm demonstrations to assist CA farmers to develop and implement sustainable production and marketing systems.
Yolo County Farm Bureau  A farmer membership organization that provides technical assistance services, holds a wide range of practical workshops and offers numerous member benefits.


California Coastal Rural Development Corporation  Provides a wide range of direct loans and loan guarantees to farm businesses located on the Central Coast of CA.
California FarmLink  Provides farmers with the tools they need to lease and purchase land, access capital, and improve business and financial management skills.
The Farm Service Agency  Helps farmers of all sizes get the loans they need to improve, expand and strengthen their farm or ranch.
Five Star Bank  Specializes in farmbusiness lending and offers farmers a wide range of loans for land and equipment.
Frontline Conservation Real Estate  Works exclusively with buyers, sellers and conservation organizations to facilitate real estate transactions and capital investment strategies to protect highly valued conservation properties.
Kiva Zip  A platform to globally crowdsource loans up to 10k at 0% interest for farmers and small businesses across the US.
Valley Small Business Development Corporation  For the past 30 years, VSBDC has provided loans to farmers and utilized a range of technical assistance services to meetthe specialized needs of each applicant.
