Headline: West Sonoma 1- 1/2 acre plots with Abundant Water
Pepper Lane Farm near Petaluma is still looking for farmers to adopt some of our fields and help us form a small farm community.
We will do a barter arrangement for land management (e.g. periodic irrigation and fencing maintenance, mowing, or carpentry, etc) and/or small crop share. We have a new greenhouse for seed starts, several fields with gentle slope, excellent soil and abundant potable water, a 1/4 acre unused leachfield suitable for flowers or shallow-root non-edibles, and 600 linear ft of terraces that need cultivation. Seasonal grazing also welcome.(We have apple and olive orchards and heirloom tomatoes in production onsite now).
Please contact me at reneelrobin@gmail.com if you have experience, funding/equipment for your own operation and community spirit. (Sorry, no housing available at this time).

Headline: Spent hens
we have approximately 75 spent hens for sale, mostly dual purpose breeds...could be great for stewing hens or soup stock. Please make an offer, looking to get rid of them for cheap...willing to trade for something. Hens are about 2.5 years old, still laying but not as productive as they once were...could make great pets too!

I’ve been checking out the sacramento Craigslist farm and garden section regularly and am seeing someone advertise almost daily looking for spent hens. Check it out.
