FlipJack Ranch began in 1882 thru a land grant to Italian immigrants who planted orchands and vineyards here in Bonny Doon. We have farmed the ranch for four years, restoring old infrastructure and re-creating a real working farm. We seek a capable intern who has designs on a farming future, a person we can inspire and see grow into a real farmer. Headline: Looking for wwoof type work exchange for October
Hi Everyone,
I'm currently working as a wwoofer volunteer at a ranch/farm/bed and breakfast/farm to table in Bonny Doon CA. This situation will be complete on October 5 so I'm looking for a new volunteer farm situation., preferably in Santa Cruz County. I have been working as a farm assistant since August 1 (the first month in San Diego County) and it has been wonderful. I can work until October 26 and would consider longer term as well if it is a great match.
My experience includes planting, harvesting, weeding, watering, feeding and caring for sheep, rabbits, goats, turkeys, chickens and ducks. I am good at marketing and sales (have retail produce experience as well as other marketing and sales experience) and preparing food for sale. I am newly trained in canning, yogurt and cheese making. Many years experience cooking, gardening, housekeeping, dog and cat care.
As I have no phone service here, please email me at justinerenson@gmail.com. Thank you so much! Justy

Headline: We want to keep farming!
Greetings! My name is Jessica Ahmadia and I am an intern and young farmer-in-training at the Green String Institute in Sonoma. I was recommended I post on your classifieds about potential farming opportunities. Recently, due to unforeseen internal issues, the internship program that usually runs from September through November has been cut short, leaving myself and about 10 other future farmers in a bit of a rut.
We have all devoted ourselves to learning and working on farms and through this cancellation in the program see an opportunity to get a more diverse work experience on other farms. We are not looking for all 10 of us to be in the same place, just opportunities overall for us to keep learning in great farming communities around California. Folks are available in increments of a few weeks to a few months, starting at the beginning of November. We have all been trained by Bob Cannard, head farmer here,
